D-Glucono-1,5-lactone Usage

High-quality food coagulant: The most widely used protein coagulant in the food industry. GDL-made “silage tofu” has an extremely fine texture, good water retention, long shelf life, and no bitter taste.

Acidulant and leavening agent: Commonly used as the acidic component in compound leavening agents, resulting in more uniform fermentation during heating; also used for preserving and pH adjustment in meat products, fruit juices, and cheeses. In the dairy industry, it is used to prevent milkstone formation, and in the brewing industry, it is used as a beer stone preventant.

Cosmetics and skincare products: Possesses excellent antioxidant, moisturizing, and skin keratinization properties, with low irritation to the skin barrier.

Pharmaceuticals and industrial cleaning: Used as a chelating component in industrial descaling agents and rust removers, or as a pharmaceutical intermediate. Also added to toothpaste to aid in tartar removal.

Other: Used as a metal surface treatment agent.
