Key precautions: Wear gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection (P280). IF IN EYES: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes (P305+P351+P338). IF SWALLOWED: rinse mouth, do NOT induce vomiting (P301+P330+P331). Store in corrosion-resistant containers (P234/P390).

Reactivity: Anhydrous material decomposes on contact with water, releasing HCl. Reacts violently with alkali metals, strong bases and some organic compounds. Decomposes above 200 °C with toxic gases.

Storage & Packaging

Anhydrous: Store dry and sealed below 30 °C; protect from moisture.
Solution: Store in HDPE, PP, PVC or FRP containers; avoid carbon steel, aluminium and direct sunlight.
Packaging: 25/50 kg drums or bags; 25–200 kg polyethylene drums, IBC totes, ISO tanks for solution.
