Product Description
Hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC) is a nonionic cellulose ether with excellent thickening, film-forming, binding, emulsifying, stabilizing, and moisturizing properties. HPC is chemically modified from natural cellulose to introduce hydroxypropyl groups. This maintains the biocompatibility of cellulose while imparting excellent solubility and chemical stability.
It is soluble in cold water and some organic solvents and remains stable over a wide temperature range. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, coatings, and building materials.
