Introduction

Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate (DPG for short) is an active ingredient extracted from the root of the leguminous plant licorice (Glycyrrhizauralensis Fisch.).

Off-white to light yellow powder, odorless. It has a special sweet taste, its sweetness is about 150 times that of sucrose, and it stays sweet for a long time. It is easily soluble in water, soluble in dilute ethanol, glycerin, and propylene glycol, and slightly soluble in absolute ethanol and ether.

●  Mainly used in medicine, food, beverage, and health care products. Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate can be used to increase the dissolution rate of amphotericin B (AMB) and the bioavailability of the drug in suppositories.
