Tolyltriazole Introduction

Pure methylbenzotriazole is white granules or powder, a mixture of 4-methylbenzotriazole and 5-methylbenzotriazole, with a melting point of 80-86°C. It is insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, benzene, toluene, chloroform, and soluble in dilute alkali solution.

It is widely used in rust-proof oil (grease) products, mostly used as a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor for copper and copper alloys, circulating water treatment agent, automotive antifreeze, polymer stabilizer, plant growth regulator, lubricant additive, ultraviolet absorber, etc. This product can also be used in combination with a variety of scale inhibitors and bactericides and algaecides.
