Product Description

Glyceryl Caprylate is a naturally derived fatty acid ester formed by the esterification of glycerol and caprylic acid. It typically appears as a colorless to pale yellow liquid or waxy solid and exhibits excellent emulsifying, emollient, antimicrobial, and preservative properties.

As a natural surfactant and preservative, it is widely used in cosmetics, personal care products, foods, and pharmaceuticals. In formulations, Glyceryl Caprylate not only improves the stability of lotions and creams but also effectively enhances their antimicrobial and preservative properties, reducing the need for synthetic preservatives.

Monocaprylin Properties

Glyceryl monocaprylate is a pale yellow or light yellow, transparent liquid, odorless, with a slight coconut aroma. It is insoluble in water but dispersible by shaking. It is soluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform, other hydrochloric acids, and benzene.

Colorless, transparent liquid with a light odor and mellow flavor. Soluble in oils and various organic solvents. Viscosity ranges from 15 to 31 × 10-3 Pa·s (25°C). Viscosity remains virtually unchanged after prolonged cooking or deep-frying. High-temperature resistant and not easily oxidized. HLB value 12.5.
