DADS is used in imitation garlic, onion, and savory flavors at up to 8 ppm.
Research
DADS has been used in research to study its effects on cell viability and apoptosis induction, as a treatment and positive control to assess the anti-inflammatory regulation of Nrf2 in breast cancer cells, and as a potential substrate compound to detect hydrogen sulfide (H2S) production.
