Introduction

Neohesperidin dihydrochalcone (NHDC) is a new type of sweetener obtained by hydrogenation of neohesperidin extracted from natural citrus plants. It has high sweetness, good taste, lasting aftertaste and low calorie. , non-toxic, good stability and other characteristics, is the most eye-catching new sweetener and bitterness shielding agent, widely used in the food industry and feed industry.

Off-white to slightly yellow crystalline powder, odorless. The sweetness is about 1500-1800 times that of sucrose, and its sweetness time is slightly later than that of saccharin sodium and much faster than that of glycyrrhizin (5:7:23s). The sweetness time of the three is 42:57:133s. Between the two, it is closer to sodium saccharin. Good sweetness, no aftertaste. Melting point 156～158℃, [α]D25-85°～-86°. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether and benzene.
